Villa Castello is situated in the historic centre of the town of Crikvenica, which was founded as early as the 14th century. The town has a more than a century-old tourist tradition, mostly due to its favourable climatic conditions with more than 2,500 hours of sunshine per year and its clean air and sea. All of the above mentioned make Crikvenica an ideal destination for tourists of all ages throughout the year.
The town is located on the most beautiful spot of the Kvarner Bay, only 35 km from the city of Rijeka, across the island of Krk. Crikvenica is rich in cultural activities such as concerts, exhibitions, folklore events and traditional parties, but it also offers a variety of active entertainment allowing the young people to fill their free time. They can choose among well equipped sport grounds as well as the equipment for waterpollo, rowing, surfing, wind-surfing, tennis, mini golf etc. Besides its tourist offer based on rest and recreation, Crikvenica also offers the services of health tourism with its two modern Healing Centres – Thallassotherapia and Terme Selce.
Villa Castello fits nicely into the tourist offer of the town of Crikvenica. The house was built back in 1898 and is a protected monument of culture. It is situated across the former monastery (today’s hotel) after which church or “Crikvica”, the town of Crikvenica itself was named. Villa Castello has been renovated in 2005 with interior decoration completed in the period between 2009-2010.
The house has a unique location – it is separated from the seaside by a park with Mediterranean plants and there are shops, cafe bars and restaurants nearby. Villa Castello is only 50 m away from the beach. There are 3 apartments of 80 m2 in the house, offering a view on the entire Vinodol Channel, their warmth and decoration attempting to provide you with a cosy accommodation and an unforgettable vacation in the northern Adriatic!
